Noah's new journal

Noah is now starting his journal back up.  He is going to dictate to me what he wants to talk about.  Ben had a Family Home evening on journaling where he gave us a jar of journal prompts, so Noah may use those or make up what he wants to record.  (Mom)

"What is your favorite thing about being in our family?"

I like you because you're really sweet (hugs mom). I like Ben that he plays fun games with me.  I like Sophie because when she goes to Achievement Day she always shares some candy stuff, and even on Halloween the  Frankenstein marshmallows she shared with me.    I like about Lucy because we have good times together.  I like Daddy because he gives me big hugs.  I feel really happy in our family.

[Mom's note:  Noah is such a blessing in our family.  He has a sweet, loving and affectionate spirit that is a comfort to me.  His big brown eyes and chubby cheeks light up my day, and he looks so much like his dad.  He loves cars most of his toys and has wonderful singing voice, remarkably on pitch for someone of his age.  He is also very sneaky and mischievous and will do anything to get out of cleaning his room (mainly will do nothing until a parent threatens certain death).  He says the most interesting things sometimes which makes me think he has an older soul than his smallish 6-year-old body would convey.  I'm lucky to be his mom.]

Christmas & New Year

Christmas Time is gone. I got an airplane and a train. I like Christmas. I like jingle bells. I like [advent] calendar candy.

I want to color the parade on a paper. I saw floats, music.

I want to type an emenem: n

There. No more.

[perhaps it is a bit ridiculous to blog for a three year old--he did find the n though!]

Thanksgiving

I had a'tatoes, bread. I like my friend Eli, I play cars. I do wike turkey. I do wike pasta, eating. My a pie. My made orange turkey out of marshmellows and candy.

[Eli is a member of the Hunter family, who joined us for Thanksgiving. No pasta was served. Noah is not a pie. The kids did a craft where they used toothpicks to attach candy fish (feathers) to an orange or apple body to make a turkey.]

Uncle Mack

Uncle Mack [Mike] came to visit. He played with me. Came for fun. I went bye bye, I went somewhere, to church. I played and played with Andrew and ....[thinking and rubbing chin]...Brandon! Nothing else.

Today

My went at the burrito place. I went at the park and my ride my bicycle around the church. I no saw big boys in the church, no my saw Ben in the church, Ben got out.

[Also, by way of explanation, Noah went into the church during scouts, but the scouts were meeting elsewhere in the building, so he didn't see any "big boys." As Noah was dictating, Ben and Sophie were clamoring to see what Noah was writing on his blog, to which Noah cried out]
"No see my bwog, guys!"
